I submitted a press release that was published on 4/30/04 by a wire release organization, i.e., something like Associated Press, except I don't think this one is as widely known, at least by the general public. In addition to possibly being pulled for publication, in part or in it's entirety, by the media, articles published there may also be used as a springboard for other journalists' stories. In addition, the organization publicizes submissions on it's web site, as "indy" media, i.e., independent media. Yes, they have standards by which submissions must abide to be accepted, but it is, basically, a censor free media, at least as far as the majority of those of us are concerned, i.e., who are of a civilized culture. A summary of each article is published on their web site. Based on that summary, those visiting that site may click on the link to the entire article. The title of the article I submitted, that was released on 4/30/04, is Government reform needed to fight U.S. modern-day slavery, portions of which have appeared in various community/"coalition" emails. Yes, I am very concerned about what this type of exposure may mean to David's safety and the other victims. But something has to be done to push efforts to get them rescued. On the other hand, what this may most possibly also mean is that the spg will become the poster child of hated U.S. domestic terrorists. This exposure may also result in any crime syndicate to have been unfortunate enough to let the spg connect with it to feel the same as many other of us feel, i.e., sorry to have ever allowed this scum to have ever entered our lives! When are these scum.... opps, sorry...... these "stupid sociopaths" going to realize that the only thing that will save THEIR asses from getting even sorrier is for them to actually start releasing victims - better yet, all at once - and in the area in which this will be best "understood." 05/03/04 - 12:35 pm: 11,045/73/1/4 RETURN TO TOP OF PAGE RETURN TO HOME PAGE 05/02/04 - another day; another terrorist attack Yes, it's getting to be that it's not even "newsworthy" any more, at least not for these emails, at least not for me. And it's not that it is something I've consciously decided. It's just, I guess I've become so used to what most probably are terrorist attacks, that I don't even think of including them in one of these emails. And that's what would have happened with the one last night. But, especially after it was also possibly followed with another attack a few hours later, and, if so, considerably closer to home, perhaps that's what made me realize that I HAVEN'T been sending the terrorist alerts/whatever out that SHOULD possibly be going out. So here's what happened last night, as I was about to cross the street to my car: The group of people at the end of the building started to rush toward me, when they saw me, seeming to recognize me. They seemed to be acting as though they either had something they wanted to tell me or just were... greeting me????? I don't think I recognized any of them, but that doesn't mean anything these days. One of them reached me before the others, a tall man with blondish hair. Everything happened so quickly that I'm not sure of some of this. He may have reached for me before I said anything, or I may have said something like, "Oh, I need a hug," another thing that isn't so uncommon these days..... whatever. Anyway, he put his arms around my body, including my arms, lifted me so that my feet were off the ground, and started spinning me around. As soon as I realized he was going to spin me, I probably started to tell him not to do that to me. I remember trying to grab him, to get him to listen, but, again, my arms were pinned. I don't even remember if my body was facing him or he had me from the back. Later, when I tried to remember what he looked like, I remembered that, at one point I got a flash of his face with a very serious and sinister expression on it. That may have been just as he lifted me or when I finally broke free from him. He must have spun me around at least ten times. I know that it was the most I've ever been spun - at least since I was a little kid - probably because I can usually manage to stop someone just as they're starting, such as on the rare occasions I've agreed to jitterbug with someone. I don't spin well AT ALL, and try to avoid situations when that may even happen, which is why I rarely agree to jitterbug with someone, and, even then, usually tell them, before we even start, "No spinning, though!" Last night, I think I managed to get a foot against something solid when he spun me close to the steps of the building. That's when I was able to break loose from him and was going to run back into the building. But he grabbed my arm and swung me around to the street, perhaps saying something like, "No. You're going [or were going] this way." I don't know if he shoved me. I was trying to overcome the effects of the spinning but, for me, it's like still not having my feet on the ground, in addition to making me extremely faint. I tried to put my other foot down to get my balance and I was being projected to the street. I saw a car coming and was trying to stop my body from reaching the street. I just collapsed on the ground, my body falling sideways, I guess, or twisted. The area of my body between my hip and the side of my butt hit the edge of the concrete curb and the side of my face and one or both of my elbows hit the street. I tried to lift my head, I think, but hadn't recovered yet enough to do so. It was probably the others, who evidently had now caught up with where we were, who were around me. I remember vaguely wondering if they were going to do anything else to me. I just saw their feet around me. Someone put my pocketbook in front of me or handed it to me. I remember clutching it close to my head or face. Someone thrust a hand in front of my downward facing face, possibly as I was struggling to get up. My white cigarette lighter was in his hand. Someone - I don't think the same person - either grabbed my arm to try to lift me or gave me a hand to grab to help me get up. I heard a woman say, "She almost [or could have] got hit by a car." I became aware that someone I knew must have come out of the building and was, also, trying to help me up, or perhaps that was the same person who'd try to help when I was still on the ground. He was asking me if I was okay. Then, when I was standing, he was telling me to be careful, because there were police around. He said, "It must have been all that red wine you were drinking." As I struggled to reach the side of the building, so that I could hold onto something until the spinning stopped, I explained to him, "I wasn't even drinking red wine. It's because he was spinning me [or I got spun] around. The person who probably arranged for what happened just now was someone who had associated with me for 18 years and is very aware of what spinning does to me. These people were probably just told to do it, not knowing what it would do to me." I've been trying all day to remember some of the times heively commented on the effects of spinning and my particularly extreme intolerance for it. It may have been during a video we were watching of the Holocaust, in which someone was spun around by a group of men, I think it was, and it caused something terrible to happen to the man. I'm not remembering all of it right now, although I'm sure it will eventually all come back to me. I think that that was the time, or one of the times, that hively explained what spinning can do to someone, and about something he'd read about training for astronauts that includes spinning, and that some people can't handle spinning at all. That was probably when I gave him information about myself that I shouldn't: I told him about my intolerance for spinning, etc.. Again, these people use every bit of information they can get. hiveley always like to keep reminding me of all he knew about me. And no, I will not risk another false arrest by reporting this spinning incident. Oh, yeah. What are the chances that the one person who happened to have reached me first was also tall enough and strong enough to, apparently, effortlessly lift the 5'5" and 160-165 lbs of me off the ground, as I was struggling, and spin me around as though I were made of paper? And what are the chances that, say, he did this because he perhaps had more to drink than he should have, that he would have still been able to withstand the spinning he, himself was having to do as he was spinning me? RETURN TO TOP OF PAGE RETURN TO HOME PAGE 05/05/04 - competition/compensation Something from long ago keeps coming back to me over and over and over again: It's something that happened well over 10 years ago. It was a work situation in which I was involved - yeah, like in the days when people were actually paid to do the work that is most needed - or what we all thought was most needed. But, anyway, we got money for doing ethical things. My position was officially called "Manager of Wage and Salary" but, even in those days, would have been called "Compensation Manager" in a more "current" organization. Even that would be a misnomer, though. I don't know if what I was doing in that position was the same as my predecessor's but my responsibility was for the entire compensation and performance management of all employees of that organization. No, this did not cover those "employees" whose compensation was negotiated with, and solely on the approval of, the board of directors. For those, my responsibility was to research and submit proposals to the board. And yes, even of those employees whose compensation and performance management I was responsible, it was pretty much the same, in that I'd submit proposals, based on research and analysis I'd done, but which required Executive Committee approval. Anyway, the thing/whatever that keeps coming back to me is - it was most probably a meeting called together to critique/discuss/get feedback on what I had proposed for the next fiscal year, before it went to budget. And there is a good chance that I had proposed the meeting. However, although I may have stipulated who should be invited to attend, which I believe I did, i.e., first line supervisors and managers of certain departments, the meeting was probably organized by the assistant to the Sr. VP to whom I reported. I ordinarily would have reported to a Director of the Personnel/Human Resource Department, but that position was probably vacant by the time this meeting was held. And, yes, I ordinarily would have organized the meeting myself, since I had no staff, but, on things such as this, that had potential high small "p," but, even though only lower, upper case "p," political overture in an individual organizational environment, it probably had called for me presenting a strong defense to have just received approval to have the meeting called, and would have, thereby, called for the assistant of the person arranging that approval to arrange the actual meeting. It was a "luncheon meeting," the kind of thing that would be held to allow those whose routine work was often so demanding that they could not, ordinarily, attend, let alone provide any input, in things such as "task force" efforts, etc., during "normal business hours" other than during their lunch break. No, that's not how I happened to have been there. Part of my job required me to be at any related meetings, regardless of what other ____ was on my plate. We were talking about recruitment and retention efforts of "lower level" positions, i.e., record clerks, dietary aids (food preparers and deliverers), housekeeping, receptionist/unit clerks, etc., or any of those who, otherwise, answer/screen/"direct" and/or disconnect callers, etc.. And, in fact, that it WAS a "luncheon meeting" in this particular organization, as well as some other things about it I vaguely recall, it leads me to think that the meeting may have been specifically addressing only such "lower level" positions. I would have been explaining the basis of my proposals: being a long established "community" organization, and this being just, just before the late '80's, early 90's recession, we had a good retention rate, particularly in these positions. ( I would present the percentage figure.) What that meant, however, was that we had a number of people in positions within their job classification who were at the maximum of the pay range assigned to that job class. ( I would present the percentage figure.) Being at that "max" meant that the only pay increase for which they were qualified was, ordinarily, only a cost of living (COL) adjustment. And a COL adjustment was basically only that. Another adjustment for which they would qualify was a "market adjustment," which is one in which the pay scale and/or correlating range is adjusted to what is being paid in the rest of the market for the same job. What I would propose would be within a 5% adjustment over the market average. Something I would not have entirely relayed in such communications is that, in the position in which I was, I needed to base my proposals on where this particular organization told me it wanted to be, competitively, which was that it wanted to be, but not exceed more than, 5% above the average of market rates. So, for example, it didn't want to surpass market rates. And I totally agreed with that strategy because, following these guidelines they provided to me, this would enable us to remain competitive without doing so much to feed inflation. (At this time, the labor market was highly competitive, and it was an industry in which it's usually highly competitive, anyway.) A great deal of the basis of what I proposed was the other part of my role, i.e., performance management. I felt it should be the driver of proposals of that other side of my role, i.e., compensation. This was the basis of my defense of proposals to the Executive Committee, which, again, would be the deciding authority in any of this. So, particularly for people in these "lower level" positions, most were at the max of their pay range and also, most often, were not qualified to transfer to positions of "upward mobility." Yet those people would not qualify for a "performance adjustment," regardless of the quality of their performance, because they were already in the maximum of their range. Aside from my role in this position, I also personally feel that performance evaluation is critical from both the organization's standpoint as well as that of the individual employee. Yet, at least in this organization and at that time, contrary to stated organization policy, performance evaluations were usually not being done for employees already at max ( I would present the percentage figure.) unless it was to justify the firing of someone for extremely unacceptable performance. Because of this, one of the "unprecedented' proposals I'd made was to expand the range of wage scales for job classes in which the retention rate was a particular percentage or higher. Despite the fact that the pay packages that I proposed, during the 2 years I was there were unprecedented in that organization, almost all of what I'd proposed had been approved. Yes, it was probably always after much needed expounding and defense of their basis on my part, and with a very supportive Sr. VP, who did HIS compensation analysis from the information he'd get in his conversations in the corridors and who was usually in sync with, and equally supportive of, the possible need for interim adjustments during the fiscal year, in addition to the annual package, of which I would be aware through painstaking number crunching. This was the type of spiel I was most probably spieling out at that luncheon meeting, responding to questions and concerns, and listening for input, particularly that relating to a departure that was being proposed from what they'd been used to having. But one of the supervisors stopped me dead in my tracks, probably or just after I'd identified the entities that had been used in peer comparison. Again, the woman stopped me dead in my tracks with something like, "What all that research and analysis you've done is not considering is that what we may be competing against is what these people may be paid by drug dealers." Yes, however she phrased it, it was very clear that what she was referring to was the illegal drug industry. Yes, I was even more naive then than I am now, or even 2 years before now. My response was something like, "Well, that's not the type of person we would want to attract or retain here, anyway." She just looked at me, without commenting further. And I don't think I ever pursued getting more of an explanation from her, probably just due to time constraints on both our parts. I think it's only now, after all these years since, that I've stopped to consider that what she may have referring to was that it may make it more likely for "that type of person" to be working for both at the same time. [About a year or so later, after I'd already been "relieved of my duties there," a pharmacist employed by that organization was convicted of selling controlled drugs in the "uncontrolled market."] But even now - as anyone may surmise from reading, say, the article that was released last Friday, 4/30/04, I still feel that performance management for the purpose of quality assurance, i.e., effective policies, procedures, management, monitoring and supervisory practices, is one of the key ingredients lacking in what has contributed to this rampant epidemic that has taken so many of our loved ones victim. Dave, David Love, please please, whoever, please make this be over soon ] If, so long ago, we were starting to see the possibility of the illegal narcotics trade infiltrating our licit operations, why are so many still apparently refusing to even entertain the possibility of slavery, including sexual exploitation, syndicates infiltrating government and as many other licit operations that they possibly can? And, yeah, how many of us can say today that we get money for doing ethical things? And how many can say something that's just the opposite? Part of it is due to a format change that I decided to make after almost all the pages were almost already through that particular phase. But, even without that, it's pretty tedious and other things still have to be kept up in between. My sleep pattern is changing back again to more of what Dave's may be. I keep working until I fall asleep at the computer, but that's been getting later and later and didn't even happen yet for this last night that went by. But, then again, on Saturday, for example, I didn't get to bed until about 10:15 am (unless that was yesterday) and ended up sleeping until 3:15 in the afternoon. No, not my usual. In fact, I don't think I've ever done that, except for times when I was very sick. But I had been short on sleep, sooo. Going over those emails again is most painful. Everything has been recounted so many times, between the emails and reports that I've had to do for various entities, that, except for the portions that I've had to repeat so often that I can almost manage to do numbed to the pain, I've probably begun relaying them, without always letting what I am saying really penetrate my mind as often. It's bad enough missing David so much and worrying, knowing so much of what he's experiencing yet not knowing all. April 30th marked one year that the "temporary" web site has been set up. Today marks the timing of the "EMT incident." Friday was Dave's birthday. Thursday marks one year that we've been deprived of even seeing or speaking to one another. Next week is our second anniversary of the pact that we made with each other. Having to go over those emails is like living all the hurt, again, that's in addition to all that, although I know it should be done, if only just to make the site more user friendly in speed. It is still startling to recall how incredibly cruel so many people, relatively speaking, have been. It's still unbelievable that people can be this sickly and sickeningly cruel. And no, what is coming out regarding the abuses in Iraq has not been surprising to me, nor probably to the many other people who have been made well aware of what has been done to people like Dave right here on our own soil. And how authorities have behaved in all of this. I like to think that at least some of this will be ending soon. But reading the May emails of last year reminded me that I was thinking the same way then. But that was before the corruption of our infrastructure was made so evident to me. I still believe what I tried to get passed on to Dave in some emails that didn't go on the web site and were not part of even the "general circulation" emails. They were sent out in the middle of March. Hopefully someone was kind enough to relay them to Dave, if that was even possible:

But, unlike last year, when the "EMT incident" emerged just days after I'd told Dave the same I am saying now, this year the possible positive developments relayed in that email of March of this year were a number of them, as opposed to that of last year's being merely the possible impact of having set up the web site. And the ones relayed in that March 2004 email had all emerged within a month of what was said in the 02/23/04 - allowing time to perk email:

The April/May 2003 "Urgent" email is one that was mentioned a great deal in other emails, for a while, after it went out. It also marked a milestone in these efforts in the type of appeal it was to the community and the method in which it was disseminated.
Although I don't have the exact figures nor breakdown right in front of me, I think that the original version of URGENT PUBLIC ACTION NEEDED, the one of 4/15/03, was sent out to possibly 30 recipients who hadn't been previously alerted to this situation by me, including a few local businesses. Eventually, between that time and about 5/2/03, a version of URGENT was sent out to between probably 200 and 300 recipients.
If I recall - and it may be in my journal - first getting that out on 4/15/03 may have been what finally led me to decide to set up the web site at the end of April 2003. It may have been that one of the versions of URGENT was the original home page of the site but URGENT was eventually removed from the web site as a separate page and was never added to the list of emails.
This morning, I reviewed it again, to see if it should possibly be added back onto the site. Does reading it today, just over a year later, have the same effect on others? Where will we be this time next year?
The following is the first, the shortest, version of the "URGENT" communication. 04/15/03 - URGENT PUBLIC ACTION NEEDED
Please understand that the reason such an unusual action as this is being taken is because this is a truly desperate situation. It is being sent to you as part of the effort to increase public awareness of the "possible" (see material for why this is phrased in this way) heavily camouflaged plight of Dave _________ and "possibly" some of my other friends. Public outcry is needed to adequately push federal officials to take IMMEDIATE action.
As long as we allow all that's involved here to continue, it will only expand and snare other victims, especially with the increased demand for them created by the casinos and other marketing venues, as well as the rewards these activities bring. And the longer it is allowed to continue, the more money will accumulate through the exploitation of these victims and possibly other illicit activities. That money, in turn, can be used to make it even more difficult to "reach" these victims, and allow the people exploiting them to expand their operations, increase the demand for more victims and pay for additional cover-up.
The public also needs to become aware of what I, myself, have learned in the eight months that I have been trying to resolve this. That is that the mechanisms we all thought were in place to protect people against such horrors aren't really there or, if some are, they don't work. Because of this situation, it becomes even easier for "people of low integrity" to get away with this type of thing.
Members of our community need to try to understand the role they may be inadvertently playing in the dynamics that allowed such horror to develop, in the first place, right under our noses, and that allows it to continue and grow. Those who know ANYTHING about these activities need to talk about them, and those who don't know anything about these activities should become aware of them. In the course of doing so, hopefully, those people, may also, as I did, come to the the realization that there are members of the community who are frightened, are afraid to talk about certain things, afraid to admit that they've seen, heard, read or thought certain things, . . . . afraid not to do what certain people tell them they must do. Hopefully, they will also realize what effect all this is having on the fate of my friends and other possible current and future victims. They will most probably see that our community is, basically, being terrorized by a "gang" of people doing very, very bad things to other people and, most possibly, coercing others to go along with those activities because those other people may feel that, unless they go along with this "gang", the same bad things will happen to them or a loved one.
Members of the public need to realize that, unless they help in this, there may eventually come a time when they, themselves, "decipher" that their niece or nephew, or son or daughter, or fiancé or spouse - someone very, very dear to them . . . just as in the situation here - has also now become a victim of something like this, and even perhaps now with whom they are not able to associate nor even see, as is this case with me and at least one of the other "possible" victim's loved one, while knowing, or worse, not knowing what danger that person is in nor how much they may be suffering. There may possibly come a time when they may be deciphering many others who have possibly fallen victim to similar situations. But they will have no way to bring any of those victims to safety and "actual" freedom because there are no effective mechanisms in place to do so and there is so much money and power, building as we speak, supporting these activities.
There is no more time for either "lip service," excuses nor cover-up activities by authorities. The proof's in the PUDDING!! These people are still being held against their will and being terrorized into doing and saying things to help mask their own horrible situation. Eight months have gone by. These are people's lives!
Please help in making the public aware of this situation, if only by sharing the information contained in the what follows. If you are willing to do so, and especially if you are willing to do even more to favorably resolve this situation, I thank you.

Traveling along the overpasses and underpasses of governmental headquarters and similar entities, it's always amazing to still see scarecrows&cowardly lions, i.e., those who, although otherwise apparently quite intelligent, claim or behave as though, for example, mid level technology such as relational databases are "scary" and, even at the IT level, claim to not be able to comprehend, for example, that if an email is returned "from" the intended destination server, it did in fact get there. In addition, if there is no record of that communication in the file that is indicated as being the "Final-Recipient" it means that something happened to that communication at that server's end. And, particularly if it is a server through which highly sensitive information may pass, such an incident should be seen as evidence of a possible security leak and, yes, warrants concern to which "I have more important things to do" is not an appropriate response.
Further, when this occurs, if there has been a pattern of administrative staff of such organizations instructing a potential sender to, instead, send a communication to an email account to which that administrative staff member has access, to circumvent this "problem," of which it is being said from the recipient's end, "I don't know why that happened," or even, as also is possibly an emerging pattern, administrative staff of such an entity instructing a potential sender to "cc" that administrative staff member so that "in case anything happens, I'll make sure that [he or she] gets it" or the person to whom the caller has been directed, "explaining" that that person is the target recipient's "assistant," the "assistant" blatantly and emphatically stating that the "cc" is because that "assistant" likes to be kept informed of all that goes to the target recipient, and, when the caller/potential sender refuses to send the communication to the "assistant" versus the target recipient, insists on a promise of that "cc" before relinquishing information of the required actual email address.
etc., etc., etc., something along the lines of the "new person" in the record department of local level police departments, as relayed in 07/31/03 - yeah, nice - but this is the reality.
What makes this scenery even more interesting is that these are entities that, one would think, would be particularly attune to the fact that, given the current environment, such episodes do, in fact, warrant suspicion of being indication of possible infiltration by terrorists and/or other organized crime or, in the very least, that SOMETHING isn't kosher! Or do they need the wiz to explain that to them?

I read parts of today's newspaper before going to bed this morning. Yes, my thoughts are constantly of Dave, but the current news headlines of abuses in Iraq and the position U.S. authorities are taking in it just drills David's horror and situation deeper into my consciousness, if that is possible. One of the many, many, many twerpy ironies/coincidences that have occurred throughout the time in which Dave and I have been subjected to the terrorism of the spg, from even before Dave's abduction into their total custody, is that the story of atrocities in Iraq finally made front page news, in our area anyway, the day after the 4/30/04 release of the Government reform needed to fight U.S. modern-day slavery article. (see 05/02/04 - Forecast: INCREASED VISIBILITY )
Today's front page article is just an example of those headlines, Rumsfeld: Abuse ‘Will Not Happen Again' -Secretary Travels To Notorious Iraqi Prison, Denies Cover-up, by ROBERT BURNS, published on 5/14/2004 by the New London Day. As horrible as those atrocities of detainees in Iraq that are being depicted, and even additional information of even worse "bad things" that will most probably be finally publicized (reference today's article, "Rumsfeld ... said “more bad things will come out, unquestionably,” but did not elaborate.") what is happening here, right in our local area, to Dave and to other victims, is so much worse, including the role that authorities are playing in it.
No, no, no, no way can they EVER plead ignorance. Just only some of the proof of that is in 09/18/03 - Stonington CAN'T plead IGNORANCE! and 05/03/04 - CAN'T - LIKE IN NFW - PLEAD IGNORANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (yes, some of those emails were returned due to invalid/no longer valid email addresses.) And, in the 05/03/04 email to those authorities, which, again, included the text of Forecast: INCREASED VISIBILITY followed by the text of 05/02/04 - another day; another terrorist attack, there was some additional communication that preceded those paste-ins that, if recipients have any heart and any brain, given their previous awareness of this situation, and if they are not too cowardly to see, hear and feel such things, they may understand how some of us can truly relate to how the loved ones of those detainees must feel, as well as the outrage that the people of Iraq have displayed.

Evidence uncovered in the efforts here point to the fact that, nationwide and nationally, law enforcement, etc., training, or, at least, appropriate training, isn't really a priority. The fact that it was provided, even though, evidently, as an afterthought, should be esteemed. And, yes, anyone in such a role would probably need training in what is humane and what is not, as well as what is right and what is wrong. The reason for this is that the "unofficial" (?) requirement for such positions, even if temporary, seems to be that the incumbent disengage his brain so he can't think on his own, disengage his heart so he doesn't "care" about .... what he's told to do, and to carry out "duties" with the required level of cowardliness
Isn't it ANYONE's job in U.S. government today to know ANY of this stuff? Or is this just a part of the built-in unaccountability of these positions? Is this the same as local and state police behaving as though they are unaware of federal laws?

What are all of the horrors that David and the others having to endure? What is being done to them? How many hours on end is he and the others deprived of sleep, when they are often required to work around the clock? NO, drugging them in a way that keeps them able to perform services forced of them does not count!
Under what conditions is David now being held, when some of the conditions in the past were so horrifying? What effect is all of these horrors having on him and the rest of the victims? How much longer is Dave and the others going to be able to endure this?

This gang started trying to keep David isolated from other than the people with whom they wanted him to interact, and me from Dave, as well as anyone else who may try to associate with me, since May 2002. David and I have been totally isolated from one another since 5/13/04, and even before that, the isolation was as close to total as it could be. There is reason to believe that Dave is now also isolated from his family, possibly from just after the 07/14/03 - THE RETURN OF THE QUEEN BEE incident. NO, those that the spg may have had posing as members of Dave's family most certainly don't count.
Where is Dave now? How isolated is he now?
What are they doing to him? How is he? What condition is he in?
How can that be when we are allowing what is happening to David, and other people who are not "detainees" but victims of abduction, be carried out so blatantly and so blatantly protected by authorities? What foundation has been laid out, for local authorities, of what is acceptable and unacceptable when they may often join with the perpetrators in carrying out these horrors, if only some of the harassment?
How possible is it that, in the as-of-this-second scenario, more effort is being taken to find out how those photos leaked to the "wrong people" than in establishing effective measures to help ensure that such atrocities are not even able to occur and/or there is a clear and responsive avenue for reporting and correcting any future abuse? How possible is it that those who are found to have reported these abuses and/or provide further information supporting their existence are dealt with more harshly, even if in a possibly clandestine way, than even the proven perpetrators?
Who is going to believe Rumsfeld when he says, "Abuse will not happen again" when it appears that all that authorities think is required to convince others is to get a new pair of boots and walk around with them on? And why should we believe that "our government" is really trying to fight U.S. slavery when it is flagrantly acting as though it thinks that all that is required to convince people is to appropriate money for services for rescued victims, such as counseling for victims of torture, when it is doing absolutely nothing to try to rescue victims and so much to support and protect slavery operations?
The times they are a'changin' and the good people of the world will stand as one in defending each other and each other's rights. How possible is it for what has been done to Dave and the many, many other non U.S. nationals abducted, tortured, enslaved and otherwise brutalized in this country to become part of the international scandal that may, in fact, be what it is going to take to help bring about the needed changes?
And what is the spg now thinking when they must realize that, no, it is very, very unlikely that what they are doing to Dave and the others will be just dismissed by them saying things like, "oh, that kind of thing is done around here all the time!"? How are they feeling, if they are capable of such function, when they are learning of the public reaction to the atrocities in Iraq that don't even come close to what is being done here?

That scandal is creating the impetus for federal investigation and clean up of other state agencies, including state police, DEP, DOT, etc., etc., etc. ( No, we haven't heard all of it yet!) In turn, many other undesirables will be pulled under by the riptide. It probably would not be surprising to most people who have been following events to soon hear of impeachment proceedings against Bush and the ousting of many other federal and other political figures. It may even be likely that we see a dismantling of certain federal agencies that have deteriorated beyond repair, such as possibly the U.S. DOJ, including the FBI. (Many events point to the unlikelyhood that such entities would otherwise be able to achieve the needed cultural and other changes quickly enough to enable our nation to begin to regain itself.) There may even be some major changes in the political process before the next presidential election this fall - if only in attempts to avert possible violent outbreaks of and against the American people. And most likely the same shot will be heard 'round the world, the same current running through our entire precious global community. How many people of other countries are similarly experiencing what has happened to many of us in such a painful and horrifying manner that has led to us now be speculating that perhaps our government was not being run by whom we thought was running it? Monday morning quarterbacking it, it makes sense. Not going to look up more current figures, but in 1990, 70% of the companies operating in the U.S. were MOFA's, i.e., majority owned foreign affiliates. That meant that they were either just outright not a U.S. national owned company or that the majority of its ownership/its controlling ownership was not U.S. national. Over the past decades, by the very nature of that to which our political structure has evolved, U.S. government is basically controlled by "business." We just never realized who those "businesses" really may be, even as they so arrogantly, and even often openly, controlled legislation through lobbying efforts and their political puppets through campaign contributions. Then add to that indications of growing organized crime. In our new painfully acquired intelligence, perhaps many of us will see each dollar spent toward a candidate's campaign as each being an additional notch against the qualifications of that person to responsibly hold office. That what each of those dollars possibly/probably represents is another "obligation" against the integrity and security of our nation. And what part may the rampant abduction and slavery practices be playing in all of this? Is there something of the missing link in all of this, when there are so many major questions going unanswered even as the U.S. government is finally publicizing the seriousness of this situation? Merely allocating effective resources for services if a victim has the freedom to approach a service provider, and/or after a victim is freed, does not address the U.S. slavery problem and is a sham. Slavery victims have to be rescued, need assistance in getting freed, in order to be able to benefit from the funds and resources that are currently being allocated for their welfare. Hands still don't reach out. Many needed friends still behave as though they don't know me. Authorities still continue to prove dysfunctional and/or act as though they are corrupt. Law enforcement still don't enforce law. Appeals still continue to be ignored. Pleas still continue to be unanswered. Messages still continue to go un-returned. Emails unread? Information not used? Intelligence misguided? Truth twisted and manipulated? Lies and grand delusions prevail. So many still seem to prefer to be fooled by the illusions created by sociopaths bent on destroying all that and who they can, hurting all who and that they can, controlling all who and that they can, exploiting all that and who they can. No action, despite obvious awareness of such serious atrocities and crimes. Lawlessness! Injustice! Cruelty. Sadistic, sick cruelty! How can people be this cruel? How can people allow this type of suffering when they can so easily end it, if only by speaking out? If only be banding together and taking action? If there are people who feel that this is wrong, why aren't they stepping forward? Why aren't they speaking out? If there are people in authority who are against what is happening, why aren't they, at least, saying so? If there are business people who are against what is going on, why are they continuing to do so much to support and protect those activities? Why are so many people still trying so hard to behave as though these atrocities are not taking place, when they know that doing so only protects the perpetrators and facilitates even greater and additional harm to the victims, perhaps even facilitates the taking of additional victims? How can people behave this way? Why aren't the people who have information needed to end this doing something with that information? Why are people acting so stupid? Why aren't they acting as though they realize that the good way more outnumber the bad? Why are they being so stupid as to let themselves be so controlled by despicable scum, even as they see more and more horror taking place? Instead of, in shock, just saying, as they are being ordered around by sleaze, as they are realizing that they are losing more and more of their rights and freedom to the sleaze whose actions they find loathsome, "I can't believe this is really happening" why aren't people doing something about it? Why aren't they resisting? Why aren't they fighting back? When they are seeing ground being lost so rapidly, why are people being so slow to respond? Why does it seem that so many people are unable to think through the implications of all of this? Why do they not seem to see the danger to themselves, as well as to Dave and other victims, as well as to me and to other loved ones of victims? How is it that they seem to not be able to find it in their heart to care about any of this? Why is it that they are so cowardly that they will allow their community and their destiny to be so adversely impacted by a band of sleazy hoods? Where are the principles people like to talk so much about? Why is it that we denounce other countries for doing things that we are allowing to go unchallenged in our own country? Where is our pride? Where are our morals? Where is our common sense? Where is our desire to keep our country free? Where is our fight for freedom and for our rights? Why are so much of our efforts and resources misplaced in defending freedom and the "American way" for others while we ignore our own? Why does it seem that they are all so misplaced? How are the funds and resources supposedly appropriated for such things actually being used? What is our motivation is all of this? Or are we just non-existent? Don't we matter to ourselves? Are we to be expected to sacrifice so much for freedom and justice in other countries yet disregard the loss of freedom and justice in our own country?
